Oppo, a Chinese consumer electronics manufacturing company based in Guangdong, has just dropped their latest budget phone in India. The Oppo A3 5G, which was just announced in the region, falls under the category of affordable, budget-friendly phones. It has a high refresh rate display and a military-grade design.
Durability is the key factor of the phone and the company announced this latest device with a MIL-STD 810H military-grade shock resistance rating. Furthermore, it is equipped with a SplashProof sensitivity, thus the touch sensitivity works even when the hands are wet. Besides, it has liquid resistance and SGS Drop Resistance certification. The device comes with a 6.67-inch LCD display and offers an HD+ resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1000 nits of peak brightness, and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Its display features an a83 percent NTSC color gamut and Panda glass for protection.
In terms of the specs, the budget phone is equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, paired with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 120GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. Users can expand the storage via 6GB virtual RAM expansion and a microSD card slot. The phone features a 50-megapixel primary camera in the rear along with a 2-megapixel portrait sensor. There is a 5-megapixel shooter in the front for selfies and video calls. A large battery of 5100 mAh powers the device and supports 45W wired fast charging. The device runs on Andriod 14 OS-based ColorOS 14 custom skin out of the box. Other important features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.3, Dual SIM, 5G, and WiFi 5.
The phone comes with two color options namely Ocean Blue and Nebula Red with the only storage configuration of 6GB + 128GB storage. The phone retails for 15,999 INR and is currently available on Oppo India’s online store.
