After its success with the introduction and the subsequent launch of the ColorOS, its latest version, namely ColorOS 12, will be launched on October 11 globally. Very recently, it came to everyone’s attention that the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro are slowly moving away from implementing HydrogenOS in their smartphones, and the company had made the decision to migrate to ColorOS in China.
Although this news came directly from the company, recently, on its official Weibo account, the company has announced that smartphone users can now be a part of the ColorOS 12 public beta. However, the beta testing is not limited to OnePlus; certain Oppo smartphones are subjected to the beta testing.
ColorOS has opted for the slogan ‘SYNC’ where the letters S Y N C correspond to synchronous, youthful, necessary, and colorful. After getting feedback for the ColorOS 11, Oppo decided to engage with some of the bigger concerns of its users, and likewise, to improve the Android-based OS, the company has taken the step to include some of the features mentioned by its users.
One of the first things that attract the new version of the OS is its colorfulness as promised by the company. ColorOS 12 introduces a new series of bright and colorful wallpapers. ColorOS featured Omoji which is very similar to Memoji. The official Twitter handle of ColorOS 12 also hints at a new and improved Omoji; however, what the new features would entail has not been revealed yet.
As mentioned above the OnePlus 9 flagships will get the new OS along with Oppo Find X3 and the Oppo Find X3 Pro. Still, there has been a few rumors that the smartphones will get a different version of the ColorOS 12 and that it will depend on the software integration of the smartphone.
