Oppo is preparing to launch a few smartphones from the Reno 6 series of smartphones. The lineup soon to be launched is supposed to include three devices that bear the model numbers PEPM00, PEXM00, and PDNM00. Recently, the PEXM00 appeared on the benchmark website called Geekbench.
A few sources have confirmed that the smartphone bearing the model number PEXM00 is actually the Reno 6 smartphone. The device will come equipped with a 2.80GHz Snapdragon 768G 5G chipset. Moreover, the smartphone will feature a 6.43-inch display and will be 7.9mm thick. This model is supposed to measure around 159.1×73.4×7.9mm. The smartphone will run on Android 11 out of the box with ColorOS 11 UI. Moreover, the upcoming smartphone is supposed to come with 8GB of RAM.
Although the exact description of the rear cameras is not available on Geekbench, it has been made public that the smartphone will come with a 64MP primary camera, and for selfies, Oppo is offering a 32MP camera. The device might draw power from a 4200mAh Dual Cell battery that will come with support for a 65W fast-charging.
The previous leak regarding the upcoming Reno series had suggested that the base Reno 6 model will come with a Dimensity 1200 chipset whereas the Reno 6 Pro would be powered by a Snapdragon 870 SoC. The Pro+ version of the smartphone is supposed to pack the Snapdragon 888 chipset. The list that appeared on Geekbench does not contradict the claims previously made by various other sources.
Oppo was actually supposed to introduce the Reno 6 series back in December 2020, but the announcement date somehow was postponed. Now it is being expected that the Chinese tech giant will announce the launch of the new smartphone sometime in April or May this year along with its pricing.
