Today, March 3, Oppo officially announced its new smartphones, R15 and R15 Plus. The Oppo R15 comes with a notch at the top of its display, and its Plus variant is defined as a dream mirror version.
The smartphones will bear Oppo’s original ‘super-vision full screen’ design, with glass shell and metal body finishes. R15 may pack the Snapdragon 660 or 670 chip. Other in-talk features include a vertical dual camera setup at the rear, a gesture-enabled virtual home button, Color OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo, and facial recognition feature.
The processor could as well be Qualcomm’s latest AI-based chip. Two sources stress the possibility of Snapdragon 670 SoC. The teaser image on the official webpage of the brand shows the notch as another iPhone-ish one. The two promotional videos further showcase the same, along with a wider bezel at the bottom display.
Oppo is likely to not be late in releasing these phones. Stay tuned to get more details on specs, price, and release of Oppo R15 and Oppo R15 Plus.
