Rumours regarding the Oppo Reno 8 series have been doing the rounds of the internet for a long time now. In a recent development, the company has announced the official launch date of the series in China. The series is going to make its debut on May 23 at 7:00 PM.

The series will consist of three smartphones including Oppo Reno 8, Oppo Reno 8 Pro, and Oppo Reno 8 SE. Where on one hand, we can see the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor in Oppo Reno 8, on the other hand, we can get to see the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-max processor in the Pro variant.

the latest design renders of Oppo Reno 8 suggest a design heavily inspired by the OnePlus 10R that was launched in India recently. Not only this, previous reports have suggested that the Oppo Reno 8 Pro will get a design quite identical to the OnePlus 10 Pro.

This is not happening for the first time as all these siblings, Realme, OnePlus, Oppo, and Vivo keep exchanging designs (or you can say copying) and delivering devices with little bit tweaks.

Oppo Reno 8 series rumored specifications

Starting off with the Pro variant, Oppo Reno 8 Pro may sport a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display complemented with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone will get a 4500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. We can also get to see a triple rear camera setup. For the sake of selfies and video calls, the smartphone may include a 32MP snapper at the front.

Talking about Oppo Reno 8, the device could get a 6.62-inch FHD+ OLED display along with the same refresh rate as the Pro variant. Apart from the processor, there will be no major changes in the specifications and features in either of the variants.

Coming to the watered-down version, Oppo Reno 8 SE may have a 6.43-inch FHD+ OLED display along with a 90Hz refresh rate. It will most probably run on the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 processor. The charging capacity and battery size will be the same as the Pro variant.

All other details regarding the three smartphones are still not revealed. Considering that the launch is just a week ahead, we can expect more information to come our way before the smartphones hit the Chinese market.
