The world’s first waterfall screen smartphone by Oppo has been teased today. Smartphones have gone through a lot of changes within a few years. Today, Oppo has announced another milestone with its all-new ‘OPPO Waterfall Screen’ display with an 88-degree curve.
A short video as teased that renders the front of the smartphone which is equipped with ultrathin upper and lower bezels with a more slim body. A recent rumor also suggested that OPPO’s sibling brand Vivo is in works with Vivo NEX 3 with extremely curved display design.
The video is marked as mysterious OPPO Waterfall Screen that does not showcase the selfie camera on display screen. The under-display camera is beneath the top portion of the display which remains invisible and works only when accessed. Previously the under-screen camera technology was announced at Shanghai MWC 2019.
It is yet unknown as to when the company may debut its new waterfall screen display, however, affirms to work on optimization under the screen camera technology. It seems that Oppo will rival with the upcoming Mate 30 series from Huawei which also have a similar BOE screen layout with 90 degrees curve.
