OPPO’s Find series, one of the premium brands OPPO has to offer, saw its last new release in 2018. The series is getting a new do-over and will now be released in the first quarter of 2020 as the OPPO Find X2.
OPPO’s Find X was ahead of its time to have come up with a no-notch design, no-proximity sensor, and to support 3D facial recognition. Undoubtedly, the Find series had OPPO’s some of the best features so much so that the Chinese firm incorporated those elements in the Reno series.
The smartphone manufacturer is collaborating with Sony and its latest image sensor technology to create a larger sensor size for better light sensitivity. Sony’s 2×2 On-Chip Lens Solution is being used for this purpose. OPPO Find X2 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. Even though the new processor is capable of supporting both the sub-6GHz and mmWave frequencies for 5G, OPPO Head of Global Sales, Alen Wu and Henry Tang have confirmed that the smartphone would not have the mmWave antennas.
As mentioned before, OPPO’s Find series is on the premium side and will make sure that the user gets an exceptional experience using this smartphone. According to company officials, smartphones have not seen revolutionary changes pertaining to display screens. However, Find X2 will put more emphasis on display quality. Oppo Find X2, according to officials, will excel at display resolution, refresh rate, colors, and dynamic range.
Apart from the above-mentioned details- the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, 5G support, and having state-of-the-art technology in terms of the display – nothing more is known. The smartphone will probably go on sale in the first quarter of the upcoming year. The pricing, availability and color combinations are not yet known.
