Oppo is having a productive year so far as is proved by the kind of products and gadgets the Chinese company is launching in their home country and abroad.

Oppo’s latest product launch event provided the impetus for the company to launch new products, some of them are the first generation products of Oppo. On July 24 at the Find X2 series, the Chinese company launched its first-ever smartwatch product, the Oppo Watch.

The launch of the product would not be limited to Chinese markets only. As reported by a foreign media outlet, the wearable device would also be available abroad; however, the system will be replaced with Google Wear OS.

Oppo announced that the Oppo Watch will land in the overseas market on July 31st. The Oppo Watch that is released in China is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon and Apollo dual chips. The watch features a 1.91-inch AMOLED hyperboloid flexible screen. The screen itself comes with 326ppi and 100% P3 wide color gamut.

The smart screen is encased in an integrated metal middle frame and features a smooth curve design. Furthermore, the smartwatch also supports eSIM and NFC that comes with a battery life of up to 40 hours. Additionally, the watch supports Watch VOOC flash charging, uses a fluorine rubber strap, and supports 50-meter water resistance.

The stylish band of the watch comes in a variety of colors giving the users a lot of options to choose from. Google’s operating system Android Wear that is supposed to feature in the Oppo Watch for its international markets, was launched way back in 2014, and in 2018 Google renamed it to Wear OS.

However, when compared to the Android version of the system in China, the Wear OS is still the superior one, and as a few studies have shown, the more suitable one for the foreign users. It is highly unlikely, however, that Oppo would change the hardware or the design of the smartwatch for its international market.
