Facebook Messenger Kids, a new app, have been launched in the US Amazon Appstore for Amazon fire tablets. This app makes it easier for kids to send messages and safely video calls to their family and friends. Kids may also feel to message or call their dear ones when they are away, and this app is the perfect solution for them with parental control.
This app is designed especially for children who are under the age of 13, especially those who cannot have a Facebook account of their own. To use this app, parental authentication is a must. It’s a standalone app that can run on the kid’s phone or tablet but is controlled by the parent’s Facebook account. Contacts can be added only via Facebook, so the parents can decide to whom their kids may speak.
If a child needs to message or video call one of their friends, then their parents need to link both Messenger kid’s accounts on Facebook. And the link should be mutually agreed upon so the kids can talk. The other adults of the family and friends can use the regular Facebook app to chat with their kids on Facebook Messenger Kids. The most positive feature of the App for kids is that it does not have any display ads. The App for Android devices is expected to hit at the end of January.
