Atlus has confirmed that Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden are set to be released on the same day on all major platforms, including PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. They will still be released on January 19, 2023, as anticipated, but a combined release for all the major platforms is probably not something that many were anticipating.
Immediately following a concert, Atlus tweeted to confirm this information. The game creators also revealed new artwork that coincides with this revelation. Fans have been anxiously awaiting the Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden game’s release on modern platforms since the announcement in June, however, no new video was revealed; instead, the tweet merely included the name of each game and release date “1.19.2023”.
Despite the fact that the posted picture only mentions Xbox platforms and Game Pass, Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden are set to arrive on PC, PS4, and PS5 platforms on the same day. It is indeed a bit unusual that Persona 3 and Persona 4 would be published on the same day because the first teaser appeared to indicate that the ports would be released in phases.
Persona 3 Portable now includes a new gender option, that not only modifies the primary character’s look but also several parts of the plot. On the other side, Persona 4 Golden, like Persona 5’s Royal edition, is the complete, enlarged, and ultimate way to enjoy the adventure.
One of the major announcements was a global release for Persona 5 Royal, which is undoubtedly the most well-known of the core Persona titles and the one that first drew many fans to the series.
However, these most recent announcements should also be welcomed by fans of the earlier games who have pleasant memories of them or wish to play them again after becoming enamored with Persona 5 Royal. Persona 5 Royal will be released on PC, Switch, PS5, and Xbox platforms on October 21.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers will have access to both Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden on Day 1.
