The stable Android Pie update for Xiaomi’s Poco F1 smartphone is already out, and the company has now revealed some important information related to the update. Xiaomi has confirmed a couple of issues with the update.
The issues are marked by Alvin Tse, who is the head of Pocophone Global at Xiaomi on Twitter. The inclusion of Ambient Display option in the Poco F1’s settings after the Pie update has happened by mistake. A lot of users who have updated to Pie have also noticed that the Always-On display functionality does not work even after being enabled. Some users have also complained that games do not work in full-screen mode. Notably, the update also removes the option to hide the notch.
Next, the touch issue has been rolled back as well. Team Poco is aware of such issues and has confirmed to fix it since they are already working on it. It’s good to see the company quickly acting on complaints.
Until the issues actually get fixed, you can update your device to Android 9 Pie right now for a smoother, up-to-date software experience. Poco has confirmed that the Poco F1 will get Android Q in the future as well.
