This year we are going to have a double Harry Potter ratio. The most famous magician in literary history will come in the form of a mobile video game on two occasions throughout 2018, on the one hand, associated with Jam City under the title Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, and on the other, as the successor of the successful Pokémon GO in the expected game based on reality Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.
Today Niantic, the one in charge of bringing to reality the second of the mentioned titles, has tried to calm the expectation that has been created since in November. The company confirmed the arrival of the successor of Pokémon GO with a game based on Harry Potter.
Niantic confirms: that Harry Potter Wizards Unite will arrive in the second half of the year. In an interview offered to the Financial Times medium, John Hanke, CEO of Niantic, revealed that the game set in the magical universe created by JK Rowling is scheduled for the second half of 2018. It has also been confirmed that it has collaborated with Portkey Games, a Warner Bros brand, to adapt the Harry Potter story to a title based on augmented reality.
Hanke says that, since the launch of Pokémon GO in 2016, the company has learned and evolved enough to be able to offer future Harry Potter players: Wizards Unite, a satisfactory experience without problems on their servers, something that players of the title starred by the pocket monsters, had to endure especially, during the first months of the game’s existence.
And speaking of Pokémon GO, the company indicates that it will continue offering support to the game and improving it through updates and additions that will be arriving over the months. So continuing to play POkémon GO can be a good way to kill time until the arrival of the Harry Potter-themed title.
