PUBG and Sony have collaborated yet again to introduce a unique Horizon Zero Dawn outfit option to PS4 for a limited time. Players can now play the game to earn in-game currency and spend them to purchase the limited edition outfit, available on PS4 between 5th March and 5th April 2019, comprising of four parts – a Horizon Zero Dawn Eclipse mask, top, a frying pan with a Horizon Zero Dawn logo etched on it, and Kar98k skin.
Besides the critically acclaimed Horizon Zero Dawn, the collaboration shall also usher in Guerrilla Games. To earn the Horizon Zero Dawn top, a player only has to log into the game. It is the easiest haul, while the acquirement process gets tougher with the player having to play 10 PUBG matches to unlock the mask. For attaining the Kar98k skin, players need to spend 8000 BP. They can earn it by continually playing the game if they don’t have the requisite amount. Finally, to avail the frying pan, a player will have to attain at least 10 kills with a crossbow. Since it can be trickier for some players, the collaboration has made the process a little easier by letting an already downed player shot by a crossbow also count as a kill during the event period.

This is the third collaboration between Sony PlayStation and PUBG, one of the previous ones including PUBG offering a Nathan Drake Uncharted outfit and the backpack of Ellie from The Last of Us to bring in more pre-orders. Besides this, PlayStation has also collaborated with PC and Xbox One, including one that ushered in pricey skins of Harley Quinn and the Joker from the Batman Series during a DC comic crossover event.
