PUBG Mobile took down its servers for a while yesterday for maintenance purposes and to upload the much-anticipated version update 0.11.0 featuring Zombie Mode. A normal PUBG Erangel map will form the backdrop for the players who will have to fight with numerous zombies and other monsters in a mode called ‘Survive till Dawn’, which will only be available for a limited time.
The servers remained offline between 12 AM UTC or 5.30 AM IST on the 18 of February and 12 AM UTC or 1.30 PM IST. The new update ushers in a lot more features besides adding the ‘Survive Till Dawn’ mode for players to fight off bosses from Resident Evil 2 like Tyrant, and other monsters, including zombies. Further features include the addition of new weather, ‘Moonlight to Vikendi’, Pandemic Treasure event that’ll help players get Resident Evil 2 outfits, Anniversary Treasure event furnishing rare finishes to celebrate the game’s anniversary, and the addition of anniversary items on sale, and emotes avatars, and frames.
The update has also added additional player spaces displaying their information and connections, music and theme of Resident Evil 2 main menu, Sanhok in Arcade quick match, in-profile visibility for character image and links, new titles like the permanent “1/100″ and the temporary “Survivor.” SMG and Assault Rifles War Modes begin with double ammo post update, and some houses in Vikendi have been refurbished in the same. Finally, the update has fixed the bugs for terrain display in budget devices and enhanced past result storing ability to up to a month.

So far as the game is concerned, the beta mode suggested that the players can choose to select friends and play as a part of a squad to look out for zombies and similar opponents in the new mode. Although the number of players lying together has been reduced, the play space appears hectic due to the combination of PUBG’s battle royale gameplay mechanics, complete with shooting, looting, and running gels with the zombies from Resident Evil 2, thus multiplying the number of threats facing the gamers.
Coming to what it has skipped, the zombie-focused update has foregone the BC to UC conversion feature and the G63C gun, in spite of it possibly appearing in the Vikendi snow map. And the Prime and Prime Plus subscribers may skip this update altogether.
