Puma sportswear manufacturer to unveil its first WearOS smartwatch

Puma will be debuting with its first-ever smartwatch at IFA 2019 along with many other smartwatch brands. Puma which is famous as a sportswear manufacturer has been experimenting with tech products since the launch of its first wireless self-lacing sneakers in 2016. Recently, it has been collaborating with the Fossil Group over the past 12 months. Finally, Puma is coming up with its first sportswear WearOS smartwatch by November 2019, priced at $275. 

This watch is powered by WearOS and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 3100 SoC. In addition to a 1.19-inch round AMOLED display, the watch is packed with a cut-out nylon and aluminum 44mm case. Puma has given it 16mm straps through a single prong strap buckle for maximum support. It also has a built-in GPS and NFC for Google play.

Being a sports brand, Puma always aims to impress sports fans with its new smartwatch. The new OS watch will be swim-proof and lightweight at 0.06 pounds, along with many other options, like heart rate monitoring, fitness tracking, Google Assistant integration and more. These features definitely make the watch worthy of its name.

This watch comes with a standard 4GB of storage and 512MB of RAM, including promising 24-hour battery life. But it may include the same complicated battery options as the Fossil Carlyle later to get the maximum battery life. The watch will be available in three color variants – black, white and neon.

Last year, Puma released its 1986 RS-Computer running shoe which was followed up by its latest self-lacing shoes. Now, Puma plans to launch the sportswear WearOS smartwatch watch in November this year. We still have to wait till November to witness what the watch is capable of doing.
