Realme is going to launch its first 55-inch TV in the first half of October in India that will have an eye-friendly SLED screen. It will also have the latest Dolby Audio solution for rich audio quality. The Dolby Audio can split and play sound in discrete channels from the front, side, and rear sides to create a surround sound effect.
The SLED display technology is co-developed by Realme and the chief scientist of SPD Technology (Spectral Power Distribution), John Rooymans, . The new technology shall give the Realme TV an ultra-wide color gamut and eye-care with low blue light.
LED TVs including QLED use only a blue backlight which is then turned to white, while the SLED uses Red, Green, and Blue (RGB) LED light for the initial stage, to help the eyes and for better clarity.
RGB renders the white background and thus there is a more vibrant color gamut and eye protection than QLED. LED TV has a color gamut of only 72 percent NTSC, while SLED offers an NTSC color gamut up to 108 percent.
There is a lesser blue light because of the RGB and thus the eyes are healthier. Realme has started 100 percent TV production at its Greater Noida facility to support the Make in India initiative.
Realme started the surface-mount technology (SMT) for affordable smart TVs. The Realme Smart TVs, for now, is available in the 32-inch model and 43-inch variants only.
