Realme, the Chinese brand that was born as Oppo’s sub-brand is reported to work on the cheapest 5G smartphone.
Tipster Mukul Sharma shared on its page the information about Realme’s plans to the full use of fifth-generation networks. Well, this is not the first time Realme has announced its plan to make a 5G smartphone.
Back in June, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth said that Realme will be one of the first brands to bring 5G products globally this year.
“#5GisReal …. Straight out of meeting room with Mr. Sky Li. Glad to share with you our latest R&D updates: #realme will be among the first brands to bring 5G products globally this year. And we are determined to bring the best of technology to India as early as possible”
Realme also said that it will launch 5G smartphones in India as soon as the 5G networks are ready to roll out. But the company has not confirmed whether we will see 5G phones this year or next year from Realme in India.
However, regarding the reports, Realme has made no confirmation announcement yet. Sharma confirmed that the Realme 5G phone patent was surfaced on the web not long ago. The official announcement is expected soon.
