It was more than a year ago, in December 2019, that Realme confirmed that it will bring to the market the Realme Koi series. The first teaser launched by the company suggested that the Koi series will be the first series to be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 888 SoC.
There has also been some news that the Realme Koi series could be called the Realme V15 smartphone. On 4th January, Realme China’s president Xu Qi revealed on Weibo that Realme will announce the V15 smartphone on January 7 at 2 pm.
Xu Qi also shared a few teaser photos of the upcoming smartphone that shows that the smartphone will come with a beautiful rear design inspired by the Koi fish that are found in Japan. The back of the smartphone features a rectangle module that houses a 64 MP primary shooter and two other lenses along with an LED flash.
The Realme V15 is now available for early reservation through multiple retailers in China. The front design of the phone shows a punch-hole display with a thick bezel.
Although the photos reveal the overall appearance of the smartphone, Xu Qi was careful not to let slip any information about the specifications of the smartphone. Some sources have revealed that the V15 weighs 176 grams and comes with the Dimensity 800U chipset. The handset is also expected to arrive with 50W rapid charging technology.
Two other Realme smartphones bearing the model numbers RMX3092 and RMX3093 were also seen on the Geekbench platform. The listing reveals that both the smartphones come with a Dimensity 720 chipset, 8GB of RAM and run on Android 11 OS.
There is a possibility that the RMX3092 and RMX3093 could be the model numbers of the same phone. The upcoming launch event scheduled to commence on January 7 will further reveal information regarding the two new smartphones, hopefully.
