Realme V5 will launch in China on July 27 as per the company’s post on Weibo. Besides the teaser posted by Realme, the recent TENAA leaks of the specifications of Realme V5 just before its launch have raised our hopes up. Realme phones with model numbers RMX2111 and RMX2112 were spotted on the TENAA official site and the reports speculate that they could be a part of the Realme V5 series.
Realme V5 design and specifications
Realme took up Weibo to tease the video of its upcoming Realme V5 smartphone which is to be released in China on July 27, 2020. The teaser confirms that the smartphone is soon to be launched and will have a quad-camera set up inside a rectangular module.
On the other hand, the TENAA leaks show that there will be two upcoming variants of Realme V5 smartphones with model numbers RMX2111 and RMX2112. The two models are soon to be released. Realme V5 will be somewhat similar in terms of appearance.
According to the leaks, Realme V5 may come with the hole-punch display with the cutout on the top left of the screen. There will be volume buttons on the left side of the display and the power button on the right.
The smartphone will run on Android 10 and will feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. Apart from this, Digital Chat station has confirmed that the display of the device will be an LCD panel.
Realme V5 will be reportedly powered by a 2GHz SoC and could come with MediaTek’s Dimensity 800 or the newly launched 720 5G SoC as well. Furthermore, it will have 6GB and 8GB RAM options alongside the 128GB and 256GB internal storage options. Realme V5 could also support storage expansion via microSD card up to 256GB. Additionally, the RMX2111 model will have an additional 64GB storage option as well.
As for the cameras, the listings indicate that Realme V5 will have a quad-camera setup including a 48 MP sensor camera, an 8 MP secondary camera with the ultra-wide lens and two 2 MP sensor cameras. The single-punch hole will feature a 16 MP selfie shooter.
Both RMX2111 and RMX2112 models will have a 4900 mAh battery and are expected to support 30 W fast charging. The devices could also support 5G connectivity and will likely to come up with the usual features like 4G, Bluetooth, GPS, USB-C port and micro-SD slot.
Realme is yet to make any official announcement regarding the new leaks. We still have to wait till July 27 till the company launches its new Realme V5 smartphone which was teased on Weibo earlier.
