The company RED, which is responsible for making accessories and high-end cinema camera sensors, just mocked the first accessory for its very own Hydrogen One smartphone. According to the teaser, which was posted on the company’s official Facebook page, the upcoming accessory will be named Lithium.
The new accessory Lithium will allow the owners of the Hydrogen One device to take 3D images while it would act as a 3D camera for the smartphone. Lithium is most likely to make use of the exposed pin connectors to interface with the smartphone. That’s how the smartphone will act as a screen that is placed on the back of the device.
If you take a look at the teaser, the caption with an image of the accessory Lithium says, “Big things in the works for next for next year: Lithium” according to some reports, the device will totally give you an experience of a very high-quality H4V image. Which Lithium will turn the device into a lightweight stereo rig; this comes with two digital camera sensors, and this sensor comes with zoom lenses which allows you to shoot stereoscopic motion pictures ever that too of high quality.
The report also says that RED’s flagship camera, RED 8K Weapon, requires some serious expertise in the aspect of stereoscopic image control, the device will have a 3D display where you can make changes after seeing the 3D output.
RED is expected to launch the rig in this year, though we still don’t have any confirmed information of Lithium regarding the date of its launch or its market price.
