On December 10, 2019, Redmi held a new product launch conference in Beijing, China. The conference saw the launch of many of Redmi’s new products ranging from smartphones to speakers. It should be noted that this is the first time that Redmi has brought out speakers in the market. The list of new products launched by Redmi includes the Redmi K30 series mobile phones, RedmiBook 13 notebooks, and a large wave of smart hardware that includes Redmi’s first smart speaker product, Redmi Xiaoai Speaker Play, and AC2100, the first router product access.
Redmi Little Love Speaker comes in a rectangular shape with a hollow surface design. The speaker is equipped with a 5-watt speaker unit and a 350cc large sound cavity. The speaker is inspired by dessert macarons and comes in three colors. It is priced at 79 yuan.
Redmi Xiaoai Speaker Play has a mesh design, and it is partly due to the speaker being a Bluetooth device. The mesh gateway will help the Bluetooth devices to the network. The speaker features a built-in Xiaoai classmate that can identify the user using a voiceprint. Additionally, this speaker is the first one that supports Xiaomi male voice.
The Redmi Speaker Play is priced at 79 yuan and will be available for pre-booking in the afternoon of December 10th, and the speaker will go on sale at 10 am on December 12th, 2019.
Coming to the Redmi router AC2100, it is the first of its kind from Xiaomi. The router is equipped with six signal amplifiers that include two 2.4 GHz amplifiers and four 5GHz signal amplifiers. It also has a built-in NetWase UU accelerator. This will help with PC, mobile phones, PS4, Switch, and Xbox game platforms. Redmi AC2100 router is priced at 169 yuan and will go on sale on December 12th. Furthermore, the new users of the router will get 3 months of accelerated services for free.
