Redmi has entered into the smart TV business with the Smart TV X series launch, which will be available in three variants: the Redmi Smart TV X will come in 65, 55, and 50-inch variants. All of them will support 4K resolution with support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Audio.
All of the three variants of smart TV come with similar features. The Smart TVs come with 4K 3840 x 2160 pixels and support Dolby Vision, HDR 10+, Reality Flow. However, the main difference is the size of the panel.
The Smart TVs run on the 64-bit quad-core A55 CPU coupled with Mali MP2 and sports 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The audio output is 30W with support for DTS Virtual: X, DTS-HD, Dolby Audio, Dolby Atmos Pass through via e-ARC.
The TVs will come with Android 10 with Xiaomi’s own PatchWall OS on top. Moreover, the TVs will support over 16 languages and a dedicated button for the Google Assistant, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, along with a built-in Chromecast.
The Redmi Smart TV X series comes with three HDMI 2.1 ports, 1 eARC, two USB ports, one Optical port, one 3.5mm headphone jack port, Bluetooth 5.0, and Dual-Band Wi-Fi.
As Redmi is a sub-brand of the Chinese tech giant Xiaomi, the company has also integrated Mi Home App to the smart TVs; users can control other Mi smart home devices using the TV.
The pricing for the Redmi Smart TV X series starts at INR. 32,999. The 55-inch and the 65-inch variants are priced at INR. 38,999 and INR. 57,999 respectively.
The new Smart TV X series will go on sale on Amazon and the Xiaomi website starting on March 26 at 12 noon onwards, and later will be available on offline retail stores.
