Huawei is all set to make 2019 its year, not merely by planning on selling a target number of 250 million smartphones and beating competitors in the local as well as international markets; but by launching what is currently its crowning jewel, a foldable smartphone with 5G support, at MWC 2019.
Although nothing official has been released yet, a few renders of the said smartphone has been published already. Based on the similarities the renders in the images shared with the leaks that have already been made regarding its features, it is quite possible they resemble the production model closely.
Unlike the Samsung Galaxy F with its smaller external and comparatively larger internal display, the Huawei folding smartphone has a single display measuring 7.5 inches diagonally. Although this makes Huawei’s display slightly larger than the Samsung Galaxy F’s, it is cheaper and easier to execute.
Powered by the Kirin 980 single-chip platform, the device comes equipped with a Balong 5000 corporate modem to feature support for the 5G cellular network. The device is expected to be officially premiered on 24th February 2019.
