The latest rumor regarding Meizu Pro 7 Plus packing Samsung’s Exynos 8895 has been discarded by a staff of Meizu. The Meizu Pro 7, on the other hand, will have a Helio X30 processor chip – which is confirmed.
It is more likely that the Helio X30 chip will match the firepower of Samsung’s Exynos 8895. Although, it is also true that Samsung has already set a benchmark with its well-known power. This makes things more interesting.
As for the discard, the Meizu staff has taken down the post, which leaves us in vain to provide a translated screenshot for you. But it was categorically confirmed by the staff that there will be no Exynos 8895 for the Meizu Pro 7.
Furthermore, the staff suggested that the project for the Pro 7 was introduced even before the availability of Exynos 8895. In fact, according to him, the project commenced before the introduction of the Samsung Galaxy S8, and its research and development stage is even pre-dated to the same as the S8.
The rumor is specifically from Weibo, and it is not yet confirmed by Meizu. The Helix X30 is yet to appear on benchmarks for us to determine its capability regarding being a flagship chip. So, we cannot confirm how it is going to be for the Pro 7.
Also, Meizu stated that the launch of the Pro 7 would be on 26th July, as gathered from the official posters released by the Chinese electronics company. There might just go to be certain benchmark data on the chip or at least some details on the specs of the phone revealed before the launch date.
