As many smartphones have started to get the latest Android 11 update, Samsung has also decided to join the Trend. Samsung is rolling out the Android 11 with One UI 3.0 to its Galaxy A51. The update comes with the February security patch and is currently rolling out in Russia.
The new update obviously brings all-new Android 11 along with One UI 3.0 features to the mid-range smartphone. Having the firmware version A515FXXU4DUB1, the update also brings forth one-time permissions, a dedicated conversations section in the notifications area, chat bubbles, and a dedicated media playback widget to Galaxy A51.
One UI 3.0 for the update comes with newly introduced features like improved UI design, better color scheme and icons, improved stock apps, repositioned volume controls, improved Dark Mode, better Digital Wellbeing and Parental Control features, and more lock screen widgets and AoD customizations.
The users can manually avail the update by navigating to ‘Settings’ and then clicking on ‘Software update’ followed by ‘Download’ and ‘Install’. The update is available for Samsung users only in Russia for the time being. There is no schedule for its availability in India for now.
About Android 11 with One UI 3.0
Android 11 is the latest installment of the Android. It introduces ‘conversations’ notifications which are designed for a chat and messaging, and can be presented in pop-up overlays. It also includes a built-in screen recorder and the voice control system is capable of recognizing screen context.
Android 11 also allows ‘one-time’ permissions for the camera, microphone, and location. Furthermore, apps targeting Android 11 are only allowed to access files in external storage that they had created themselves.
As for the One UI 3.0, it introduces features that further improve its custom skin. The new UI lets the users turn off the screen by double-tapping anywhere in the Home Screen’s empty area.
The auto-focus and auto-exposure features have been improved for UI 3.0, even the users will be able to customize the call screen. Moreover, the photo editor now gives users the ability to revert edited pictures back to their original versions.
