A long-term Samsung product owner had taken to the Samsung Community where he had complained about the incompatibility of the Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Tablet, bearing the model number GT-N8013, with the Google Meet app. Video calling apps such as Google Meet and Zoom call are seeing a sudden surge in its users, especially since the global pandemic has relegated people to their homes.
To keep up with business and work meetings, the apps are coming in handy. The same goes for school/college lectures also. So it is understandable that a user would fret over their device’s incompatibility to install such apps.
The user also had pointed out that his tablet is up to date with the last update that the developers had released for the Galaxy 10.1 Tablet. Furthermore, he has commented that there are no Android Updates available after the Android 4.1.2.
It should be mentioned that Google Meets requires an Android version of Android 6.0 and above for downloading and installation. With this setback, there is unlikely any chance for the device to be able to download Google Meet. As mentioned by another user on the same community post, the GT-N8013 model no longer supports Android updates, and likewise, the user needs to change his device if he wants to install Google Meet.
