Samsung Electronics has rolled out a new software update for the Galaxy Watch Active2, and the new update will focus on bringing new health, communication, and connectivity features.
First of all, the new Running Analysis feature offers new running analysis and will offer its users a range of detailed metrics, such as asymmetry, regularity, stiffness, vertical oscillation, and ground contact time. This will help the runner keep a better track of their running performance. Also, this feature measures VO2 max which is an indicator of the maximum amount of oxygen a person can utilize during intense exercise.
The Fall Detection feature will keep the user safe when a potential fall is detected. The user will be presented with the option to send an SOS notification to their preferred contacts. With the new update, the Galaxy Watch Active2 will display the phone’s notification right on the wrist.
The Smart Reply feature will offer the user a suggested response for both messages and images, with advanced photo recognition technology. Whenever the user receives a message, the watch display screen will show the chat history and not just the latest text message received.
The latest update also includes fun replies which offer users to choose from a range of AR Emoji stickers and Bitmoji Stickers. Moreover, the update offers instant access to the playlist on the user’s smartphone. The transition from smartphone to Galaxy Buds to smartwatch while playing music is absolutely seamless.
Additionally, the new update also adds support for the scroll capture feature so that the user could take a screenshot from their smartwatch, and the screenshot will be automatically sent to their smartphones. The entire new update in Galaxy Watch Active2, from the sound of it, has managed to integrate the smartwatch even more with the user’s daily usage.
