Last month, Motorola announced a vertically folding throwback to its classic RAZR and now images have been surfaced around Chinese social media of a phone that looks like it might be Samsung’s clamshell Galaxy Fold.
The new Galaxy Fold 2 display comes just with a tall, vertically folding Infinity-O display with a centered punch-hole cut out for the selfie cam and clamshell design with a foldable display and a notch on the top.
There’s quite some bezel on the sides and bottom but no chin like on the Motorola Razr. The phone is running on the familiar One UI experience but we should expect Samsung to add some specific tweaks to take advantage of the foldable form factor.
The images showcase that the device can be folded in half. This makes it pocket-sized and much more convenient and portable compared to other existing big-screen smartphones. Now, a new leak on the Chinese social networking site, Weibo has given the first look at the second-gen Galaxy fold.
Other details of the purported Galaxy Fold 2 are not yet known. It is rumored and expected to be launched alongside the Galaxy S11 series in February 2020.
