On Thursday, south Korean consumer electronics tech giant Samsung launched its new offering in the tablet category Galaxy Tab Active2 with a military-grade rugged design and built-in durability for tough work environments.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 features an improved touch, Pogo pin, biometric authentication, and S Pen support. The device is also equipped with Knox security platform that helps to keep sensitive information on hold against malware and hackers.
Speaking of specifications, the Galaxy Tab Active 2 will come with an IP68 rating which makes the device dustproof and waterproof. It is also protected against vibration and accidental drops and can remain underwater for 30 minutes up to 1.5 meters.
As the device demands to be rugged, it provides to be a sturdy device that is easy to manage from an IT perspective. It claims to deliver features and accessories that are specifically designed to improve mobile workflows beyond the scope of typical office use.
The device is backed by a 4,450mAh battery along with an 8-inch display that runs on the 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. The device runs on Company’s own octa-core Exynos 7870 processor. The novelty also features an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front shooter for convenient video calling. By connectivity, it offers Wifi Direct, Hotspot, NFC, and USB Type C.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 will be available in India starting mid-March 2019 with a price tag of Rs 50,990.
