Samsung’s new decade started with the Galaxy Unpacked 2020. The Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event saw the launch of a plethora of new Samsung devices including the Galaxy Z Flip, Samsung S20 series, Galaxy Buds+ and much more.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is a foldable smartphone with a hole-punch selfie camera. The cover features a secondary display. When unfolded the smartphone features a 6.7-inch display screen. There is a feature called the Flex Mode which helps the user to get on with other works when the smartphone is folded halfway. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip runs on the Snapdragon 855+ SoC with 8GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.
The smartphone falls on the expensive side, with the starting price at INR. 98,000. The phone will go on sale on and from February 14, 2020.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 series includes S20 Ultra, S20, and S20+. The Galaxy S20 Ultra features a 6.9-inch QHD+ display, and it runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC or Exynos 990 SoC depending on the market. The phone has a four-camera set-up on its back, a 108 MP primary camera, and three other cameras. You can get up to 16GB RAM, and up to 512GB storage on this device.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is priced at INR. 1,00,000.
As for the other two smartphones from the S20 series, the S20 and the S20+ have similar specifications regarding the display size, battery capacity, and the number of rear cameras. Both the smartphones feature a 6.2-inch QHD+ display.
However, the S20 features a triple camera set up on its back with a 12-MP wide-angle camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 64 MP telephoto camera, the S20+ features a ToF camera in addition to these cameras. Both the smartphones will run either on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC or the Exynos 990 SoC and as for the selfie camera, both have a 10 MP hole-punch selfie-camera.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 and the Galaxy S20+ are priced at roughly INR. 71,000, and INR. 86,000 respectively.
Samsung also introduced an upgraded version of the Galaxy Buds truly wireless earphones called, Galaxy Buds+. The new earphones have two speakers and feature three mics. It can run up to 11 hours on a single charge. Moreover, it functions well with iOS. These earphones are priced at INR. 10,600.
