A few key specs about Samsung’s upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch4 have been unveiled. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch4 during the MWC (Mobile World Congress), which is slated to take place on June 28, and it will hopefully hit the market in August this year.
Previously, it was leaked that Samsung would launch the Galaxy Watch Active4 along with the Samsung Galaxy Watch4, but recent posts confirm that these two smartwatches are one and the same device. The official branding of the smartwatch reveals that the device will carry the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 moniker.
The upcoming smartwatch from the South Korean tech giant will be sporting a different design than its predecessor, the Galaxy Watch 3. However, the design of the new watch resembles that of the Galaxy Watch Active 2. On the other hand, Samsung has officially confirmed that Samsung will get rid of the Active moniker for the new series of smartwatches.
Some of the leaked renders of the watch have revealed a few aspects of its key specifications. The watch will be available in two sizes: 40mm and 44mm. Moreover, the smartwatch will also be 5ATM water resistance. Furthermore, the Galaxy Watch4 will have a MIL-STD 810G level of durability. The upcoming Samsung smartwatch will also feature GPS and Gorilla Glass DX+ protection. The watch band will be available in various popping colours, such as rose gold, dark green, silver and black. On the right side of the watch dial, there are two buttons; however, the functions of these two buttons are not yet clear. The company has officially mentioned that it will combine Tizen OS with Google Wear OS for its upcoming smartwatches. No comments or information about its battery life or performance is available.
More details about the Galaxy Watch4 might surface before the launch.
