In Samsung’s upcoming event on February 20, Galaxy Unpacked 2019; the much-awaited Galaxy S10 series won’t be the only thing that will be announced- it is said that Samsung will also introduce its Galaxy Watch Sport.
Up until now, Samsung has used the brand Gear for its smartwatches. The Galaxy Watch Sport is going to be Samsung’s first sports-centered smartwatch. The render with the details of its design has been circulated.
Reportedly, the smartwatch would feature a circular dial with two round buttons that function as keys. Both the watch and the buckle of its wristband will come with a brushed metallic finish in the color chrome, which adds to it a more premium look than previous sports-centered smartwatches.
Even though the render did not show the rear casing, it is expected that the smartwatch will comprise the sensors of the previous models, such as an activity tracker, a heart rate monitor, step counter, sleep monitor, and GPS. It is also anticipated that the smartwatch would have an IP certification for water- and dust-resistance
The Samsung Galaxy Sport smartwatch, which has the codename Pulse and model number SM-R500, has previously been certified by the FCC in the US, NRRA in South Korea, and NCC in Taiwan. Reportedly, this much-awaited smartwatch will include some more features: Bixby Reminders, 4GB RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and even support for mobile payments via NFC.
