The battle has become bloodier. Huawei, after filing a lawsuit against Samsung in March in both the US and China for Infringing on 4G- related patents was slammed back by the Samsung lawsuit. Samsung’s lawsuit urged to block Huawei and another firm from manufacturing and selling devices together with a demand of $24.1 million to compensate for the damages.
While Huawei accused Samsung of violating its patents for reasons like alleged use of mobile devices and networks but asked for a cross-licensing deal, Samsung fired back at Huawei as some of Huawei products including the Honor lineup, illegitimately employed Samsung patents. According to a Reuters report, analyst Lee Do-hoon said Samsung isn’t looking to be paid either to talk to. He said both companies have different motives.
Another Huawei spokesperson said it hadn’t received any official complaint from Samsung yet. We will review any documentation and defend ourselves as appropriate when we do. Earlier, Samsung sued the US tech giant Apple where Samsung got benefited ‘in a kind of an advertisement.
