Samsung is supposed to launch the new Exynos SoC, which will be paired with the AMD RDNA2 GPU, sometime next month. This will announce the new era of a powerful chipset, which will be used to further facilitate flagships.
The upcoming Exynos chipset should receive the biggest performance when it comes to the graphics processor. Fuelling the news of the launch of the upcoming chipset, a few tipsters on Twitter have shared that the South Korean tech giant has already begun testing for the same. A few of the tipsters even went as far as to say that the performance result of the chipset has been astonishing, to say the least. However, a few reports were quick to claim that against the Exynos 2100, Snapdragon 888, the new chipset paired with an AMD GPU is over 50 percent faster in the graphics-related test.
A Twitter user announced on Twitter, “Samsung is testing the AMD GPU in the new Exynos, and the Wild Life test on the 3D Mark has scored 8134 points. It is worth mentioning that the CPU in this test is A77 architecture, for reference only. Each test has different results, we need to wait for more results.” The tipster also mentioned that since the architecture of the chipset is comparatively older, subsequent tests will yield different outcomes.
The Exynos SoC with an AMD GPU handily beats the Exynos 2100 and Snapdragon 888, both of which obtained scores of 5295, and 5382, respectively. The results make the Exynos and AMD pairing over 50 percent faster over existing chipset and processor pairs. On the other hand, the fastest GPU is housed in the A14 Bionic chipset which is one of the main features of the iPhone 12 series. But from the looks of it, Samsung might just beat the performance of the A14 Bionic chip, although there is no word on the new SoC’s power consumption.
