The Electronic giant Samsung on May 1 announced the Galaxy A6. On Friday it announced the join up of the mid-tier lineup. Starting September 14 the Samsung Galaxy A6 is all set to launch in the United States.
The smartphone boasts ultra-wide 18.5:9 aspect ratio infinity screen, a large-capacity battery, and bright camera modules on the front and back. The phones offer midrange specifications and features designed to tout in the budget segment.
The Samsung Galaxy A6 sports a 5.6-inch super AMOLED HD Plus screen in 18.5:9 aspect ratios along with a 16-megapixel camera unit on the front and back with of f/1.9 and f/1.7 aperture, respectively and LED flashlight.
It is powered by an octa-core processor clocked to operate at a maximum frequency of 1.6 GHz, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage or 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage options. The phone also supports storage expansion using microSD card slot, which can take up to 256GB cards.
Samsung Galaxy A6 also includes a fingerprint sensor on the backside here, which is located just below that single camera. It is to sport a metal unibody, which is actually pretty impressive for this price point.
The novelty carries a retail price of $359.99 and will be available at “carrier partners” in the next few weeks after first launching on the Samsung’s website. Samsung says it will also be available at Sprint beginning September 14, with other carrier partners coming later.
