The South Korean smartphone manufacturer is launching the Samsung W20 5G foldable phone in China. In terms of the design, the smartphone looks just like Galaxy Fold. Meanwhile, a Tenaa listing reveals that Samsung W20 5G may be rebranded as Galaxy Fold 5G. It is Samsung’s first phone to be powered by the Snapdragon 855+ processor.
The Samsung W20 5G is likely to be equipped with an octa-core processor clocked at 2.956 GHz along with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB internal storage. The foldable smartphone will come with a 4,135 mAh battery that might support 15W fast charging. It will run on Android 9 Pie.
The Galaxy Fold comes with dual display. On the outside, the phone has a 4.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 21:9. The second is a 7.3-inch (1536 x 2152p) Dynamic AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 4.2:3 and HDR10+ support. Samsung W20 5G folding phone ships with the old Android 9 Pie OS-based One UI out of the box. It is built around a Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset with 5G support.
The device supports Dolby Atmos and Samsung DeX too. The connectivity options of the foldable phone are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, GPS/ GLONASS, and more. Besides, the company is also offering the Care+ service with Galaxy W20. This includes a VIP hotline for support (for 18 months) and a lot more. Samsung has yet to reveal its latest foldable device’s price, pre-order, and release details.
