While the likes of televisions, computers, gadgets, mobiles, processors, and other tech elements are featured at the CES every year, there is always room for small, capacitive devices that help in data transfer. At CES 2018, the flash memory manufacturer displayed the SanDisk smallest flash drive ever that supports the USB-C.

It has a capacity of 1TB, which is half of the offering of last year’s Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate GT. Despite this, SanDisk’s flash drive is likely to win the market race because of its ‘far smaller’ body mass than that of Kingston’s. At the same time, it even goes with the USB-C, not the USB 3.0 from the past. This further lets you transfer data not just from computers but also directly from smartphones.

Now, the flash drive is still in the prototype stage, although working. Neither price nor release date are yet announced by the company, although we are keeping a tab. The full-sized 1TB USB-C SSD already has the price tag of $350, which suggests that smaller model will be expensive when it reaches the markets.
