Facebook yesterday introduced Facebook Lite for the Emerging Markets, where users face a slow internet connection. With the new apps, Android users around the world can access a faster internet experience even on slower networks consuming fewer data.
In a Facebook post, Mark Zuckerberg announced the new app said the New Facebook Lite app built for Android users at less than 1MB takes no longer than a few seconds to download and update quickly. Users can almost experience the same features like News Feed, status updates, photos, notifications, and more with this lightly built app.
There are more than one billion people around the world who access Facebook from their mobile phones on a daily basis. Usually, users from emerging countries face slow network connections- Facebook Lite is ideal for them- giving them a smooth experience of all Facebook features interrupting their conversation with friends and families.
Facebook has rolled this new app to be available in countries across Asia and parts of Latin America, Europe, and Africa that can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
