Snapchat Spectacles have themselves upgraded, as per an FCC listing. The second-gen pair is categorized under wearable video camera as a product and are identified as model ‘002’.
The listing also bears the Spectacles trademark, further confirming Snap Inc’s new product. Issued on April 4, the FCC branding carries a sticker that says ‘made for iPhone.’ It does as well show the Android robot logo that ensures the pair’s compatibility with both platforms.
The packaging label provides the contents such as the second-gen Snapchat Spectacles, a charging cable, and a charging case. Other features include a battery of 95mAh and connectivity options of Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi. There’s no cellular activity, but you do need the pairing to be established via your smartphone.
Snapchat is as well working on a 2019 version of the spectacles that may feature two cameras for depth effects.
