Signal, which has snatched the top spot from WhatsApp in Apple Play Store is facing technical issues. Some users took Twitter to complain about the recent downtime. After the Facebook-owned messaging app changed its privacy terms Signal saw a massive surge in new users. On top of that Tesla CEO added fuel after he asked users to use Signal. Signal app was downloaded almost 1.3 million times on Monday, according to data from Apptopia, a tracking firm.
Signal is an encrypted app that has emerged recently as a top alternative to WhatsApp just because of Whatsapp’s new privacy policy update. Today, Signal app is facing technical difficulties globally on both smartphone and desktop versions. Users are reporting that the Singal app is giving a slow response on the mobile version and dead on the Desktop.
Downloads of the end-to-end encrypted app Signal got high as users looked for alternatives to WhatsApp. Signal got 7.5 million installs within 5 days and counting.
