Users can now finally link Skype with Alexa, and what’s more is that linking Skype with Alexa will now give users access to 100 minutes of free calls per month for two months.
The Alexa device can be set up by using Amazon Alexa App for Android or iOS. Following this, users need to go to Settings > Communication > Skype to link Skype with Alexa. The last step to using Skype over Alexa involves signing in to Alexa by using the same Microsoft account being used for Skype.
“Ask Alexa to call any of your Skype contacts – no matter what device they’re using. And if the person you’re trying to reach isn’t on Skype, simply read their phone number out loud to call them,”
reads the instruction provided on Skype’s official page announcing the development.
Skype has been made compatible with Amazon Echo 1st Gen, Amazon Echo 2nd Gen, Amazon Echo Plus 1st Gen, Amazon Echo Plus 2nd Gen, Amazon Dot 2nd Gen, Amazon Dot 3rd Gen, Amazon Show 1st Gen, Amazon Show 2nd Gen, and Amazon Echo Spot.
