The story was leaked by official Snap.Inc says that now third-party developers can use Snapchat features for developing their apps. With the assurance of data safety, the company has much more to say ahead regarding the Snap Kit, the new tool launched. Snap kit will let developers build products powered by some of the best parts of Snapchat.
The Snap extends the kits into Creative Kit, Login Kit, Bitmoji Kit, and Story Kit. Each kit provided has its own distinguishing feature. The first one, Creative Kit, supports developers in integrating their stickers, filters, links, and other highlights into the Snapchat camera.
Login kit, which ranks second, deals with unlocking new features on Snapchat and other apps. It will use users’ Snapchat accounts as a secondary way to login into other apps. Bitmoji kit, on the other hand, is all about initiating your conversation and making it alive with Bitmoji. Finally comes the Story Kit, which is specially added to turn stories into embedded pieces of content that can live on other websites.
Snap team assures that the user data will not be at risk, as they will approve all the third-party app access. The firm made it very clear by stating that they won’t let the third party app to proceed until and unless it is approved through all the required spheres.
Snap will not be sharing or exposing any user data such as demographic information and friend list of users to the third party. The photo and video sharing app will only display the names and Bitmoji which will be shared if users use Snapchat as login method in those third party apps.
