The Japanese multinational conglomerate company, Sony has applied for a new patent application at the US Patent and Trademark Office for a new Sony PlayStation.

A foreign forum user confirmed that Sony had recently filed a new patent with the United States of America Patent and Trademark Office, said the patent is about “bandwidth management,” which allows users to allot bandwidth to each device and application in their network manually.

With the new patent application by Sony PS, users will now be allowed to manually adjust network bandwidth when granted.

For instance, players can set aside 40M internet speed for downloading new games and patch upgrade files and then reserve 60M internet speed for playing online games.

In another development, Nintendo recently filed a patent that is similar to the Xbox Series X’s quick recovery feature, which allows users to swiftly switch between various games and return to where they were when they last left. There is no need for any screen reading or lag time.

However, if you want to use this feature in NS, you’ll have to wait for later versions because it may necessitate the usage of an SSD or other high-speed access device.

Sony Computer Entertainment created and marketed the PlayStation, a home video game device. It was the first in the PlayStation line of video game consoles, and it was released on 3 December 1994 in Japan, 9 September 1995 in North America, 29 September 1995 in Europe, and 15 November 1995 in Australia.
