Oppo is planning to launch a 5G version of the Oppo A73 smartphone. Recently, the specs of the A73 5G smartphone have also been revealed ahead of its official launch.
The new addition to the already existing features for the 5G version of the Oppo A73 ideally should not be far off. However, this does not take away the fact that Oppo changed or rather tweaked very few of the features of the smartphone. The first change that is noticeable right away pertains to the design of the smartphone. The Oppo A73 5G comes with a punch-hole cutout design instead of the waterdrop notch that is seen on the 4G variant of the smartphone.
The smartphone will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 720 chipset and will come with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The Oppo A73 5G sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD display. Its processor, the MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The smartphone runs on Android 10 based ColorOS 7.2. The right side of the smartphone houses the power button which could also be used as a fingerprint sensor; the volume controls are on the left side of the phone. Keeping up with the contemporary smartphones, the Oppo A73 5G version too sports a triple-camera set up on its back.
The camera setup consists of a 16MP primary camera, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2 MP sensor. The selfie camera is of 8MP. The smartphone is supposed to come with a 4040 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, USB Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jack, and NFC. The device will measure 162x75x7.9 and will weigh 177 grams.
The smartphone is available only in one color – black, but it is expected that Oppo will offer more color variants at the launch.
