Plugging in with the correct tune is an easy and free way to relax, but this is not where Spotify wants to end. The company has come up with a sundry catalog under ‘word’ ensuring several things from poetry to guided meditation, audiobooks, and short stories.

Also, CEO Kerry Trainor on Tuesday (Feb. 19) unveiled a new feature allowing creators to distribute their music directly to all primary streaming services, including Spotify and other platforms. The tool does not come baked into SoundCloud Pro and Pro Unlimited subscription accounts for artists that will pass through 100 percent of earnings from those platforms back to the creator, meaning SoundCloud takes no additional cut, nor will they be charging additional distribution fees.
