Apple’s ‘Spring Loaded’ event will be showcasing a new range of tracking tech for AirTags besides iPads, iMacs and has started from 10 am on April 20, 2021, PT, 1 p.m. ET, 6 p.m. BST, and April 21 at 3 a.m. AEST.
There will be updates on the hardware of these devices as well as software updates for the phones and iPads. We can also see the new M1 chip-powered iMac besides the accessories for AirTags tracking.
It was being streamed via the website of the company, keeping in mind the pandemic and the digital event thereof. Like the Worldwide Developers Conference in 2020, all such timely events of Apple have been well held through the virtual platform. This year the event will perhaps be on June 7.
There has been upgradation on the display and pace of iPad and a new technology called mini-LED has been introduced. This will be a 10,000 LEDs setup placed on the 12.9-inch Liquid Retina XDR display amping up to1000 nits of brightness. Other devices will have the same very soon according to rumors. Now only OLED is used which though better, is costlier. So this will reduce the price substantially.
iOS 14.5 has been announced as well which will have new features like emojis, unlocking with Apple Watch, and other privacy upgradation. There will also be tracking technology and permissions shall be sought for this free upgradation. This new iOS shall be available in the coming weeks and Facebook has shown concerns and criticized Advertisement costs rise because of the tracking function.
The “Find my App” feature can be used with the AirTags and shall help in finding anything with the Tag.Tile and TrackR and Samsung are other companies that manufacture such products.
There will also be the new Apple TV 4K which is Siri-enabled, has a click pad remote with a new outer ring and a power button, Siri button, and so on.
The price will be starting at ?18,900, while the Siri Remote will be available separately for ?5,800 that is compatible with the devices of the previous generation.
