Nightdive Studios has taken on the mission of remastering cult classics; the studio recently remastered the first-person classic games System Shock and Quake 2 and is now keenly delving into remastering another first-person legend: Star Wars: Dark Forces.
It is under construction for all major platforms: PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. Star Wars: Dark Forces was released in 1995; it was the first game to tie up with the movie.
The game wasn’t sleeping in a den while the outer world was involved in a blood-knurled fight, and it also wasn’t meant to be a ruminating blood-shedding game like Doom, but what sold most was the game’s rootedness in Star Wars.
The game captured the essential spirit of the movie and performed well. The Jedi engine fueled some impressive levels of design. The game, which had a lot of close encounters with the history of Star Wars and the bequest of the FPS game, is getting remastered, which is excellent news for gamers and fans of Star Wars.
The Star Wars: Dark Forces is not a matter of the clock before the studio took over the remaster to put a jinx in it to maintain the same eagerness in the remastered version.
