Google Co-Founder Larry Page has surprisingly and officially announced that Sundar Pichai will now be in charge of the company’s executive reins. Pichai is the Chief Executive of Google (CEO), but now he will have greater responsibilities since Page, together with Sergey Brin, leaves their positions of Alphabet.
Following this decision, Pichai will now be responsible for managing, at the same time all the investments of the parent company and also directing the main subsidiary of the company.
Although both founders of the search engine company leave their positions, they will continue to play an active role in its decisions, in addition to maintaining their positions as principal shareholders and members of the board of directors.
According to statements the company’s founders delivered to Google workers, “There is no one we have trusted more since Alphabet was founded and Sundar brings humility and a deep passion.”
According to the internal structure of the company, Logically, Page and Brin will continue to control the main destiny of the company, but from now on Pichai will be in charge of the main investments in addition to directing the subsidiary.
As a result of this situation, both founders will be able to fully concentrate on everything that is coming for the future in Google, in addition to routing the new objectives in order to compete optimally with their great rivals, which are Amazon, Microsoft, and Facebook.
Sundar Pichai, 47, has been working closely with both founders for more than 15 years and is by far his most trusted companion, so his new roles in Google will assume them immediately.
