At the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 21) on June 7, Apple unveiled a new range of tools and technologies to help developers create better apps. Some of the new tools include Xcode Cloud, new updates on the Swift programming language, new APIs, and much more.

Xcode Cloud is developed specifically for Apple developers. This can automatically build apps in the cloud. Moreover, it also allows the developers to run a test on a simulated version of the Apple device or deliver it to the external beta testers through TestFlight so that they can get instant feedback.

The company has introduced new in-app events and Custom Product Pages on the App Store. In addition to this, the developer code of conduct has also been expanded.

Swift or Apple programming language now comes with built-in concurrency support. “This means developers can more easily write code that does work in parallel, which is key to building apps that are responsive to user input while doing more work in the background,” Apple explained.

Apple also announced watchOS 8 at the WWDC 21, and this will first be available to the developers and later to the general public. Inside the watchOS, the Photos app will now feature a new and improved grid design, and the users will be able to share the photos through iMessage and Mail apps, add text using the Scribble on the Watch, and Dictation.

Moreover, with the watchOS 8 Apple Watch can track the users sleeping respiratory rate and will notify the users if it detects any changes. It will also help the Apple Watch connect with smart car keys and Smart Home keys with the help of the watchOS 8.

The public beta of watchOS 8 is expected to arrive in July, and the final version is expected to launch this Fall.
