Tencent’s “Knock a Knock” Trademark Application Has Been Approved

Chinese internet giant Tencent Holdings has been registered for international trademark classification, filed in the 42nd category-Design Research, which involves scientific instruments, education, and entertainment. Tencent also applied a trademark for the WeChat Paiyipai.

Wechat is a popular multi-purpose instant messaging, social media, and mobile payment app. Previously Wechat set foot on the app’s one billion active users mark. As we all know, Wechat is owned by Tencent Group’s launched back in 2011.

In addition, WeChat recently added new features such as  pat one-shot”, “shake one shake,” “take a look,” “jump one jump,” and “search one search.” The instant messaging app aims to further develop its archetype as its predominance escalating gradually in recent years. 

According to previous reports, this is not the first occasion Tencent has filed for the “Knock Knock” trademark. In 2020 August, the company registered for numerous trademarks related to “Knock Knock” the multiple trademarks were applied in Category related to 9-Scientific Instruments and Category 41-Education.

The 9th and 41st categories trademarks have already been filed; however, initially, the 42nd category “Knock a Knock” trademark was rejected; the application has been taken into consideration after multiple reports and information structure.

The application has not been progressed, and the trademark is put in the first place. These “A-A” small names have been filed trademarks by Tencent to keep them protected, including “Shake a Shake,” “Pai Yi Pai,” and “Jump a Jump” to prevent others from swindle and breaching.
